Our Innovation Model

Our Innovation Model

This figure represents the basic model of how our mission and vision translate into tangible outcomes. This model outlines the innovation process that is used for our STEM programs, and for our social innovation projects. Our programs and projects are activities that serve as incubators for new teams working on innovative ideas and research.

For example, the Young Innovators Quest and the IDEAA Summer programs are designed to engage high school students in a series of activities related to innovation, product development, health, prototyping, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Mentors and students have the opportunity to share time and knowledge through the completion of hands on activities and projects.

Our programs serve a wide spectrum of community constituents from K-12 to professional development; with special attention to those who are disconnected from the workforce or educational opportunities (e.g. people who have been underappreciated, individuals with disabilities, families in poverty or near poverty, and minorities). We create high quality programs and projects with those whom we serve at the center of the design process.
