2021 IDEAA Summer Program

The IDEAA Summer program provides an excellent opportunity for anyone who wants to start a career in product design, engineering, and manufacturing.
The IDEAA Summer Program will offer six courses to introduce the participants to Design and Rapid Prototyping, with time to work on projects and have hands-on experience.
Design & Rapid Prototyping
The DRP Program (Design & Rapid Prototyping) Program provides an excellent opportunity for anyone who wants to learn more and get involved in the IDEAA fields: Innovations, Design, Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, and Automation.
This three-week course will also prepare you for college, technical careers and internships.
The IDEAA Partnership is a Health & Science Innovations workforce development initiative, and a cross-sector partnership dedicated to the implementation of a comprehensive pipeline that attracts and prepares new talent to meet the needs of employers with engineering, prototyping, and manufacturing operations; through hands-on workshops, courses, certification curriculum, credentialing, project based learning and practice opportunities. Partners include Design Bank, First Maker Space, Maker Youth Foundation, Direct Employers Institute, and CAE-net.com. This initiative is supported by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD) through their Skill Up Indiana! Grant.

You may register for any of the following individual courses; or you may take all 6 core courses to complete our Certificate in Design and Rapid Prototyping. Each course is between 20 and 24 hours that are scheduled across 4 to 6 weeks. These courses are developed in collaboration with employers in Central Indiana.
